Hello, and thank you for using iThoughts Tooltip Glossary
What you are trying to do is the main purpose of glossary terms and glossary tips: create the term, then link it with a glossary tip by searching its title. If it does not work, then, there is a problem.
Otherwise, if you want to make link to pages through tooltips, go into text-mode in your editor, and add to your tip the attribute link-href="www.someexample.org". But I’ve just tested, and this option does not work now. Please wait my next release in a couple of hours, and you’ll be able to explicitly set your links that way.
So, please wait for v2.2.1, and check for the option you prefer.
Hi Gerkin,
Thanks for your reply and your fast update – I appreciate it. Your plugin – and your support is great.
My situation/problem is that I already have around 600 glossary Pages (countries, people etc) in a nested structure as Pages in my site. Something like:
/encyclopedia/people/
/encyclopedia/people/person1
/encyclopedia/people/person2
/encyclopedia/people/person3
/encyclopedia/country/
/encyclopedia/country/country1
etc.
I would like to use the plugin to display a short excerpt and when user selects link they are taken to the correct Page.
Is there anyway to map Glossary items to existing wordpress Pages?
Sorry if I have misunderstood anything.
Best regards,
Guy

There is currently no possibility to “map” pages to terms. It is a possible future evolution, but it requires a lot of work. I’ll see for it later. Function delayed
