    Import Users from CSV has been terrifically helpful in setting up a new club WordPress website. User profile field data can be imported. WordPress shows that these imported accounts are ‘Approved’.

    When members first log into their accounts at the site, how do they know what *password* to use?

    Admin can email them their username, and then they can click to reset their password on login, because the site knows the email address associated with their user name. The problem is, at the user login page the WP site is currently showing:

    Your account is still awaiting admin approval. Reset password is not allowed.

    Why is the login page still saying ‘awaiting admin approval’?

    How can admin ‘approve’ the new imported profiles when they are already showing as ‘Approved’ at the site’s back end?

    Javier did point to:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/eonet-manual-user-approve/

    Would that plugin do the job, or is there a simpler way from the Dashboard?

    Thanks for your help!

    @cmsplay,

    Which plugin are you using to approve users?

    Hola Javier, I’m not using any plugin to approve users at the moment. Assumed WP would be able to do this on its own?

    I’d like to avoid emailing WP user passwords to members because that is not safe.

    It would be great if users could use their accounts that ‘Import Users from CSV’ has made.

    I think you are a bit confused.

    WordPress has no any tool to approve users by this own. You can do it using some plugins.

    But maybe what do you want is that users must be able to reset their passwords. In this way you can use **passwordreseturllink** in your email.

    Look it at the end of emails option tab.
