Hey Mushlih,
I see what you mean. Arabic is a right to left language, isn’t it? So I’m guessing that the creators of your theme didn’t take that into account.
Which theme are you using? You could try getting in touch with the theme authors to ask them for a fix with this.
Alternatively, with some CSS this might be possible to fix. When I go to your site now, I don’t see the dots however. Have you removed them since?
Hi
Yes, Arabic from right to left
I use the supermag theme (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/supermag/), and it says that it supports the right to left writing
Also, what CSS do you mean?
Yes, I deleted the dots, do I have to put them down so you can check?
Thank you
Hi again Mushlih,
If they support RTL, then something isn’t working the way they anticipate. It would be best if you post about this issue in their support forum here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/theme/supermag/.
This way they’ll be best able to help you. And also it will help future users of the theme with RTL languages.
With the CSS I meant to add some code to fix this issue. But again, better if the theme authors help you with this, because then they can incorporate the fix in future updates and help everyone that way š
Thank you
Hi
I don’t know the problem in the theme or in WordPress, because I can’t write the dots properly before Arabic in the WordPress text editor, like this image: https://prnt.sc/uutfq8
When I wrote the dots before Arabic writing, it was written like the picture above, even though I wrote the dots properly before Arabic, why?
Thank you
I don’t know enough about RTL languages, but I’m guessing it would sooner be the theme than WordPress. So I’d ask the theme developers.
Hi
You said “So Iād ask the theme developers”
Are you going to ask the theme developer or will I ask?
Thank you
Hi Mushlih,
It’s best for you to ask them š
And when you do, it’s a good idea to link to this thread here. That way they can see our conversation.
Good luck with it!
And let us know how it goes š
Thank you
Hi
I have contacted the theme developer and he said the problem is not with the theme, this is the support topic of his theme: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/rtl-support-139/
It seems that the problem is from WordPress, because when I tried it with other themes the results were still the same
Why and how to fix it?
Thank you
Hi @dvaer , have you forgotten this problem?
Hey @mushlih – thank you for posting back. I’ve read the support thread you had with the theme author. So I understand this problem also occurs with a default WordPress theme.
To be honest, I’ve never used an RTL language in WordPress, and therefore I’m probably not the best person to help you with this. Perhaps it’s a better idea to post about your problem in one of the default theme forums, like the twentytwenty support forum. Make sure to tag your request there as RTL language and again link back to this thread, so that the volunteers there can see what you’ve already been trying.
Sorry I can’t help more with this right now. Good luck.
Hi
I have posted it here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/rtl-language-13/
But I don’t know when it will be replied to, because I saw other topics being not replied to for a long time
Thank you
