    In the link there is a photo of the page. I have circled and arrowed the part I want to change.

  • those blue colors seem to be from some custom formatting of your site;

    assuming you are using the default archive widget, generally, to change the border color of the select field, try (in ‘Additional CSS’):

    .widget_archive select { border-color: grey; }

    Thanks for the advice.
    The only formatting done is through the WordPress theme customise, colour logo etc.

    I have tried what you say and published, it has removed the blue on the arrow box and made it white not grey. There is still the border around the button but this only appears when pressed. It has also increased the size of the text writing. photo attached below:

    Is there anything else I can do, or will I have to live with this! thanks for your help.

    HI,

    Thanks for your help, but I am now going to delete archives altogether as I cannot get rid of the blue box.

    It is back!

    Thanks anyway.
