archive list

Using the theme Elegant Grunge, and the default sidebar list for the archives lists the month, but I’d like the posts to appear as a sub-list (now you have to click through to see them). A quick hint on how to change the sidebar php so it does this?

I’ve been searching around and poking through the documentation, but it’s still greek to me.
