Archive widget Does not work with this plugin

    I installed this plugin and I was successfully able to change the posts that were older to the archive status without any problem.
    The archive widget that comes standard with my ww.wp.xz.cn setup will not show any posts that have been marked as ‘archive’ in the Archive widget drop down. The only files that show in the widget are the active published posts, which is the opposite of what I thought would happen and that is that the archive widget would show the posts marked ‘archive’.
    I use WP-Discuz and Ultimate Member as my primary plugins for my blog.

    The wordpress “archives” that you talk of are just listings of your older posts so the widget is just displaying those (that remain published).

    My plugin creates a post status of archive which either:

    a. Removes the post entirely from the front end.

    or

    b. Removes it from all listings (including wordpress “archives”) but keeps them available at their url on the front end.

    Note you can choose which of the above behaviours you want in your settings.

    So whilst the terminolgy maybe similar they are actually doing two completely different things. I have no plans to change this. As such I am resolving this thread for good order but if you do need to display posts (or pages etc) that you have archived using my plugin then look at the plugin faq.

    Note I will still monitor this thread even though it is resolved.
