• Hello! I installed wordpress this summer and absolutley loved it. But problem: I still don’t have archives, and can’t figure it out.

I tried doing the creating a page thing, but it never links right from my menu. I tried creating it using the “Page Templates: Archive Template” thing, but it never really created a page for me at all. You can find my blog here:

    Archives link:

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • Sorry, we do not support K2 here. K2 is not only a theme, it’s a modification of WP – you could read this on the main page of the thing you are using. The official support site for this modification is here: http://binarybonsai.com/forums/

I’m not understanding you I guess. When I click on your cell phones category, I go to this page:

    http://www.digitally-dreaming.net/archives/category/cell-phones/

which it states plainly is the archives for the cell phones category.

Could you maybe be a bit plainer about what it is you want to have happen there?

[Poop, didn’t get all the way to the bottom to see it was K2….]

You can see it as it opens. They all look the same… 🙁

Really? Never noticed…. I always start sites opening in another tab while I do something else (due to my molasses-running-uphill-in-January dialup connect….)

OK, I’ll be nice, since this is not a K2 issue, just simple ignorance:

    Archives link:

Since you have a real folder with the name “archives” a WP Page with that same name will never work.

All I really want is an index page in my archives folder to have individual links to all my entries, monthly archives, and such. Is this something I need to take to the K2 forums? I thought it was more of a WordPress issue.

    Thanks in advance!

A “normal” WP install doesn’t have an archive folder. If you have it – see above.
And read again what I wrote above (why is people never read completely the posts???)
K2 is not only a theme, it’s a modification of WP
