• Hi all, I’m sure this is a stupid question, but I want to add an archives link to my blog and I’m not quite sure how… I just want it to appear in the footer with a simple link that says “Archives” and points to all of my past posts… Anybody know how? I’d like to write a page that shows them if there’s not one already, I just don’t know how. Thanks for any help in advance.

  • Yes, there are a lot of ways to do this.

The first thing you can do is read up on how to do this in the codex:
    http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Creating_an_Archive_Index

There are also a lot of nice plungins for browsing archives as well.

The codex is where you can learn a lot, and fire your imagination to do even more than you might have expected.

    Happy reading!

Okay, I need a little more help… I’m trying to set up the page like it says a href="http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Creating_an_Archive_Index"here/a, but when I look at the “Add Custom Fields” module, I don’t see any dropdown list for the “_wp_page_template,” and archives.php doesn’t show up in the Value box… Anybody know how to correct this?
