Archiving posts and creating custom nav

Hi there! So the content of my primary site is an illustrated storybook, delivered in chapters (i.e. posts). After the first book in the series is complete, I want to archive those chapters/posts to a new “home page” for that book and place a custom drop down menu to reach the archived items (listed by book, then chapter, in case someone wants to go directly to a specific chapter of that book). Can anyone chime in on how I might accomplish this? (Especially what page to duplicate to make it the other “homepage” look like the actual homepage, with the circles and whatnot?)
