Hi @llaves
That is anomaly. Are there any settings on the Google Drive that can prevent our plugin from deleting files?
You can try to delete a backup file from the backup list on WPvivid and see whether it will be deleted from the Google Drive as well.

It’s possible these are not being deleted because I started out using dropbox, then transferred everything to Google Drive, including copying the files that had originally been written to Dropbox. I’ll report back after I’ve been running on Google Drive for over 7 days.
Hi guys @llaves @m266
Our plugin does delete backup files on remote storage according to the retention limit you set. It works by the cron system of the website, so you will also need to make sure that the cron system works properly.

Just a quick update – it appears the deletion of remote backups is tied to where they were written. So in my case, when I transferred backups from one cloud provider to another and changed the settings to use the new provider, only backups written by the plug-in directly to that new provider are managed by the plug-in. Backups copied there are not managed. Once I deleted the copied backups, the system correctly deletes backups after rolling over the set limit. Thinking about how this would be implemented, it seems apparent this would have to be the behavior – files are deleted by name, not by date/age, otherwise you risk deleting files not belonging to the backup. And those names are tied to specific cloud providers.
Hi @llaves
Thanks for the update.

In fact, that is a pro feature, as in the pro version, you can customize the backup folder, when you specify the same folder name for the two storage, you will be able to manage backups transferred from another storage.

WPvivid does not scan for and delete any other files other than WPvivid backup files, so, please do not worry about that.
