well wordpress site does use a site for the stats purposes. but integrating it in the blog tool itself sounds pretty dumb. and well, does not seems to be like it!
are u sure ur admin panel is edited by someone?
Problem solved on #wordpress. It’s just ping-o-matic.
New users have no reason to panic.
That’s the name of the server that hosts ww.wp.xz.cn and pingomatic.com. If you have pingomatic in your list of things to ping (Options > Writing) then it’ll contact that domain.

what´s going on with planet.ww.wp.xz.cn? when I enter this URL I get a picture of plato and aristotle. Nice but not very informative.
