    Hi there:

Can you let me know what site you’re having this problem? Once I have that information, I’ll be better able to help.

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

    testing.translatorswithoutborders.org and also
    websites.wiredpinecone.com

They’re on totally different hosts with totally different setups.

For the time being, I simply disabled Carousel as that was what was causing the issue. But I need a long-term fix as there are aspects on both sites which use Carousel.

    thank you in advance!

Thank you. I’m not able to look at the testing.translatorswithoutborders.org site as it’s behind a password protected link, but I did check out the other site.

I don’t see anything off hand that would explain why you’re seeing that error with Carousel active. Can I have you try a few things?

    1. Delete and reinstall Jetpack; this will rule out a corrupted plugin update.
    2. Disable all other plugins, then check for the error. If it’s gone, turn your plugins back on one-by-one until you start seeing the error again. Then note the plugin that caused this error and get in touch with us.
    3. If the plugin step above doesn’t help, try activating Twenty Seventeen temporarily as your theme. Then check again. If it starts working, likely something in your theme is broken and you should get in touch with your theme’s author.

If you’re still having the problem after following these steps, please let me know and I’ll be happy to look into this further for you.

    Thank you –
I have already deleted and reinstalled Jetpack as well as the other plugins. Only turning carousel off fixes the issue.
Both sites are on Genesis and are fully up to date and themechecker marks them as aok.

Thanks for confirming – but that is quite odd.

I’d like to have us do more troubleshooting over email – this will allow us to send you information more securely than in an open, public forum. We may ask for the password access for the other site and possibly a login to do further troubleshooting.

Can you contact us here – and link to this support thread so whomever picks up your email has the history of what we’ve checked already: https://jetpack.com/contact-support/

    Thank you!

Ok will do. When I googled the error, a number of other WordPress sites with the exact same error message came up.

I am getting that very same error on my website. Were you able to resolve it?

    Thanks,

    Sue

@sopiknit Could you send us more details about your site via the URL above?

    Thanks!

Thanks Jeremy. I’ve sent the URLs for the errors.
