    You have to leave room on the left/right for the arrows or use CSS to move them inside the slider.

    Thanks, Ron. I had the box set to hold images up to 600px and the images are 600px from the featured images. Does that mean I need to manually resize the featured images? Or, of course, the CSS option.

    Going the size route means you have to use your widget width less 2 x arrow width. So, if your widget is 600 then try a width of 540.

    You can use the regenerate thumbnails plugin to generate the correct sized images for the slider after you change the slider size.
