Is there an option to display events in either descending by date or ascending by date. This doesn’t seem to be an option in the plugin dashboard.

Here you can see all possible orderby arguments here https://www.wp-eventmanager.com/documentation/the-event-listings/

[events orderby="event_start_date" order="ASC"]
