• Is there any way to assign different menus to different posts of our site?

For example, let’s say someone comes to one page they see menu1

Then if they come to page two they see menu2

Can this be done manually or is there a plugin that would do this?

At the moment we are using a theme from yootheme and under the menu/theme location/main navigation menu it states “Your theme supports 1 menu. Select which menu you would like to use.”

Can we override this in some way and what is the process of setting multiple menus/dynamic for multiple posts?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • You could use a plugin like widget logic and multiple menus.

For example if you created a few different menus, say page 1, page 2 and then your main menu is the one that is at the top.
The other menus could be displayed in widgets in the sidebar. Using the widget logic plugin you can then specify where these go.

I think that the main menu at the top should always be there though, otherwise, people will get confused.

Thank you Christine. The reason we wanted different menus is so that they can be dynamic based on which PPC landing page they land on which will be based on a product.

It makes it easier to copy the pages and then assign specific menus at the top of the page.

We would like to avoid the side menu as we do not want the landing page to look like a blog but rather a “microsite” so that is the reason we need the top menu to change for each page.

Is there anyway to do this?

Thanks again for all your help.
