I have read something about that plugin developers do not have to support on wp.org and should inform the mods if they don’t want to. I cant find it anymore. I hope that this is still true.

Supporting your plugin has always been 100% optional. It’s fantastic when you do provide support but no author has to and if you do support it it doesn’t have to be here.

Can you post a “For support read this” topic in this sub-forum? That can be made sticky and users should see it when they visit the dedicated support sub-forum for this plugin.

Closing this sub-forum… As far as I am aware if you host a plugin in the WordPress repo then the support sub-forum get’s created. You can’t have a plugin here without that; it’s not you it’s how the integration works.

At least that’s my understanding. Also it will let other plugin users support each other here if they choose to. If you really want to avoid that you can always choose to not have your plugin hosted in the repo here.

Ok but the support threads will no longer be counted? I think I have seen plugins with “Support turned off” or am I wrong about this?

Guess I will be copy pasting links here then in the future.
