attached vs unattached images – SEO question

    hi

    i have a question about images located in my library .

    What i did is i uploaded a lot of images from the start , and then added them into pages and posts using the normal <img> markup and used the url for the image
    it works

    but , i notice that in this way , they appear in the library as unattached as i have not used the add media button , of course

    so my question is : is there a downside to this regarding SEO ?

    Is there a difference in SEO if i use all images in my library as attached to certain posts or if i just leave them all unattached and just add them manually whilst they remain unattached ?

    Having an image attached to a post makes no difference at all to your SEO. The linking is only for internal record keeping and is not made public at any time.
