    Even if I use the Yoast SEO: Search index purge plugin I see that I have attachment sitemaps generated by yoast, which are seen by the Google search console as errors …

    What can I do ?
    I tried to desactivate the plugin, reactivate it, clear my cache, but still I can see those sitemaps …
    (I had last month a google traffic decrease which makes me check that)

    @lemagcinema Can you please first confirm that you have the attachments set to redirect to the attachment itself?

    You can do this by performing the following steps:

      In WordPress, go to SEO>Search Appearance
      Click on the ‘Media’ tab
      Set ‘Redirect attachment URLs to the attachment itself?‘ to ‘Yes’
      Click ‘Save Changes’

    yes I confirm. Except that when the plugin is active it is written:
    These settings are being overridden by the Search Index Purge plugin.
    You are actively purging attachment URLs out of Google’s search index.

    but as i said initially, I set the redirect option to yes by default and I have desactivated the Yoast SEO: Search index purge plugin

    and now it works … Tickets can be closed … (I do not understand why it works because I did the same yesterday). Thanks.
