Attendee email notifications

I have events set to automatically approve and from what I understand the attendee should receive an email when they register for an event, but this is not happening.
I have SMTP configured and am receiving emails from WordPress AND the registration notifications from Events Manager. When I sign up for an event using one of my personal email addresses, I do not receive the auto-response. I have tried “Resend email” in Edit Booking and still do not receive an email on my test bookings.
The site is hosted at GoDaddy… could they be blocking outgoing email?
