Attribute duplicated during import

Hi, I am trying to import products through the xml file. The problem is that when i use the name of an attribute that is already existing in my shop, wp import does not recognize it and creates a new attribute with the same name.
I have tried importing the “short name” slug in the field attribute, still got the same result. Any help with this. For sure there must be a way to make this work.

I want wp import to use existing attribute and attrributes values and only when an attibute or a value is not present to create a new one.
I am using wp all import pro.
