On our product pages, we use the “Attributes” to represent the quantity of of an item to be selected eg 1,2,3.4,5.10 or 25. The attributes are used for the variations. Each variation has its own unique price ie it is not linear.
The Attribute label is “Quantity”. We wanted to change the Attribute label to “Select Quantity”.

But when we did so, it caused the same price to be displayed no matter which variation was chosen.
We undid the change attribute name change and all was then OK.
But we would like to change to “Select Quantity” or “Choose Quantity” but cannot work out why this problem should be happening.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @cullachie

    Thanks for reaching out!

I replicated the scenario on my personal site: created a variable product with attribute named: Choose Quantity having the values: 1, 2, 3, 4.

I was able to create the variations and priced each 5, 10, 15, 20 respectively.

    Single Product page:

Can you please re-try creating again the variable product by deleting the existing variations, then updating the attribute’s name from Quantity to Choose or Select Quantity? Then, create the variations afterwards.

Let us know how it goes!

    Hi Xue28,

You are a star! That worked a treat.

I created a duplicated one product and did as you said and it worked out perfectly.
I will now alter the existing products when I have processed the outstanding orders.
    Many thanks.

I just wanted to thank you once again.
The WordPress/Woocommerce site is one I developed for my own one-person business which I operate it in my retirement. I’m aged 77.
That’s why I really appreciate the support that you have provided to me. The detail and the images used to explain the steps are marvellous.
You are a very kind person.
    Best regards
