Hi @polarone
I understand that you’d like a meaningful/related page returned instead of a 404 error upon entering an incomplete URL.
You can create a user-friendly 404 page as explained in this tutorial:
https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Creating_an_Error_404_Page
If the errors are related to WooCommerce endpoints then settings can be adjusted as explained here: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-endpoints-2-1/
Here’s a related topic: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/woocommerce-endpoints-404-error/
I hope this helps! If it doesn’t, please share the link in question so we can take a closer look.
Thanks
Thanks for the answer @margaretwporg , but, call, you are a little off about what I think.
We create an attribute “Color” and create a value “Red”.
The “Color” attribute does not have its own page.
SITE/color/red/ -there is a page
SITE/color/ -no page
Hi there,
SITE/color/red/ -there is a page
SITE/color/ -no page
This is expected. When you’re hovering over the product attribute you’ll see there is no page to view (https://snipboard.io/NF0Okz.jpg) and no link for product attributes. While if you hover over the attribute term there is a view button (https://snipboard.io/V5QfzP.jpg).
If you want to display product attribute archive links follow this tutorial:
https://woocommerce.com/document/display-product-attribute-archive-links/
Note that this is a developer level and the code on the above page was not tested on my dev environment. Custom code falls outside our support scope. Best regards.
Thank you very much @rainfallnixfig !
Yes, I understand that there is no link. The question is this.
Why specify a “path” (hierarchy) if the main item does not have a physical page?
SITE/color/
One could specify:
SITE/red/
“Why” is a rhetorical question.
And why did I ask them:
SITE/brand/wordpress – brand “page”
SITE/brand/ – I wanted to show all the brands of the store.
Logically – it is present in the “path”, there is a parent category, but in fact it is not, although it would be very useful.
The only option I use is to do a 301 redirect SITE/brand/ to SITE/custom_page/
Hi @polarone
Thanks for clarifying.
However, the scope of this forum being limited to WooCommerce core features only, you may want to seek help in the following channels, apart from reaching out to a WooExpert as suggested above:
