    Hey,

I exported all of our products from a test site into a CSV.

I have an attribute called “Size” with values of “L, XL, XXL, etc.” I added this attribute to products in the CSV that didn’t have it before with some of the values.
I followed the same format as in the products that already had their attributes and values assigned manually through the admin.

When imported, I checked the update option.

After importing the products were not assigned the attributes according to the CSV, and products that already had the “Size” attribute were not updated either with the new values.

Here is a screenshot of the corresponding part in my CSV, it is in Hungarian as the site’s language is set to that, but I didn’t modify the headers. Also “Méret” means “Size” in Hungarian. All values in the image have been added to the attribute manually beforehand.

I tried importing variable products with variables as well. The CSV imported every information for the product, but left out the attributes and the variations, so for a product with 7 variations it only uploaded the one parent without the attributes.

If I understand it correctly you are trying to import the product with attributes and variations.

Since the screenshot has only a part of the CSV file, I’m not 100% sure if that is done correctly or not. You can download and check my test CSV file to understand how product variable or parent and the variations are setup in CSV file:

    I hope that helps!

    Hey thanks,

I never figured out what the problem was and ended up just using the dummy woocommerce csv file pasting over everything. From what I could see I had everything configured correctly originally too in the Hungarian export I made, but I might have overlooked something. Configuring things with the dummy csv fixed things though.

I’m glad using the dummy CSV file fixed the problem. I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
