audience entry without correct signup

Running on WP 5.3.2 with plugin V 4.4.0
I found lots of entries in the audience without a List(s)
So I tested it myself with some dummy entries.
I tried to signup as John with email [email protected]. I get an entry in the audience, without a List(s).
On the page where I did the signup, I had the correct text: “Please select the list” in red
But the entry still made it.

Looks like problem 1 is fixed. I tried without selecting a list and it warns me.
Now I select a list and try again.

It’s a security measure we already added since ES 4.0 to prevent spam.
You have to wait for 2 minutes. By this time you should be able to subscribe to it again.
why not say it then?
“You need to wait for 2min before subscribing again”
I could not find that text to change it. So is it hardcoded?thanks
It’s not a fixed time of 2 minutes. It’s based on a number of times you try to subscribe within a specific timeline and because of that, we have hardcoded the message.
Anyways, we will see how we can be more specific on showing appropriate messages.
