  • Yes.

Just make your audio blogger post output as a .php file, then use an include in wordpress to pull say, your two latest audio posts.

Just curious – I’m new to WordPress and don’t know a lot about PHP. It’s easy for me to have Audioblogger post output as a .php file, but how do I have WordPress pull the audio posts? I’d like to use Audioblogger while I’m on vacation, and I won’t have access to a computer to manage my own site. Any help on this would be appreciated!

I would like to know that too – sounds really cool.

I take it you also need a blogger account.

The suggestion Allthewhile made is fine, but that’s just for having your AB posts appear on your pages. What I’d like is for there to be a way for the AudioBlogger.com site to update my main WP1.5 blog instead of having a separate place for my ABs. Anyone know how to do this?

This guy has been claiming he’ll post a tutorial on how he set things up to do exactly what I describe above for months now:

Unfortunately he has yet to do so. I’ve posted another comment to the above page so hopefully he’ll do it.

You can get audioblogger to send an email of the post containing the audio clip to a specified email address. Just point it at your WordPress email addy to have it automatically post. You’ll probably want to write a function that will strip out unnecessary content from the email.

Wow, cool–I wasn’t aware that this could be done. I’ve also had little luck getting the email posting to work with WP. I’ll have to try again, I guess. Thanks!

How do you tell AudioBlogger to send your post via email?

There’s a tutorial on my site for those interested.

Thanks, man! Yeah, I checked it out–it’s awesome.

Still can’t get the email posting to work. I’m upgrading to the latest WP today, so we’ll see how that goes.

K, I *finally* have the email posting thing working. There’s one weird problem though–with audioblogger/blogger.com’s email-a-post feature, it only worked once. Now when I post an audioblog or a regular text entry, it doesn’t full post an entry on my site. I can see the post on the main Manage-page, but when I click “view” I get a page with no entry on it.

This doesn’t appear to be a problem with WP since I’m able to send emails from anywhere else. It just seems to be a problem with the emails from blogger.

    Any ideas?

Actually, evilwilly, who posted above, pointed out to me in a post on his site that this is not a big deal at all–the emailed posts from Blogger.com have a timestamp of a few minutes into the future. This means that if you just sit tight, WP will process the entry once it’s literal time comes.
