Audit logs not displaying

Audit logs won’t display in the dashboard. I tracked them down on the server, and they have universal read permissions, and proper owner and group perms. I also opened this file: wp-content/uploads/sucuri/sucuri-auditqueue.php
and it’s clear the site is getting absolutely hammered with login attempts (which don’t generally show in the audit log). Any hints about how to get this file to load? thnx.
