Authentication Code Not Actually Saving

Hello. I have seen a couple of other threads with this issue, and one of them says resolved; however, it is not actually resolved, so I thought I would reach out. My apologies if there is already a thread with an actual resolution.

I have used this plugin with one of my hosting providers with no issues; however, this does not seem to to work with Host Gator. Every time I save the code to authenticate, it shows that it saves but doesn’t actually save. Therefore, I am not able to use the plugin. I saw that the code could be manually entered but then the dashboard does not work, which seems to defeat the purpose of the plugin. Any suggestions?
