Authentication Code Problem

Hi there, a long time ago I set a two-step authentication for my wordpress account.
However recently I have a problem logging in to the account due to this authentication code.

Previously I used the Google Authenticator App to get the codes.
But the app got deleted and somehow it disconnected from my account and cannot be used to get codes.

Thus I decided to go for the SMS function to get my verification codes to log in.
Just yesterday I was able to use the function. But today it doesn’t.

First it shows that the code has been sent via SMS, however I do not receive it after many minutes have passed. Thus I click on the SMS function to resend the code, but instead of showing that the code has been sent, i am redirected to my log in page.
And this happens in a cycle.

I even tried to reboot my server and my phone’s connection. No change.
Resetting my password does not help & I cannot deactivate the two step authentication if i cannot log into my account.

Kindly give me a solution asap.
As I have to do up a blog as an assignment and this issue is hindering my progress.
