My issue is that I can’t seem to do anything in the settings area. If I try set the browser TTL to a month and click set, I get the error “{“success”:false,”errors”:[{“code”:10000,”message”:”Authentication error”}]}”.

When I try to offload a single image in the library, I also get “{“success”:false,”errors”:[{“code”:10000,”message”:”Authentication error”}]}”

I have used the same AccID and API Token for this plugin as I used for the official CF plugin. The CF plugin works fine. I registered an account in the “AI & Compression” area, which is now connected. I have since disconnected and re-logged on, but that made no difference.

When I originally set it up, I ran the bluk offload which seemed to run through 1300 odd images over approx 5 mins. The counter in the info and stats remained 0 for both images offloaded and images on CF.

The issue isn’t critiacl, and the site is still completely functional.

@vanyukov can you offer any ideas as to why the error is occurring and if there is anything I can do on my side to alleviate it please?

    Hi @itsbrokendigital,

This is an error with the API Token. Please follow this guide how to setup a token with correct permissions: https://vcore.au/tutorials/how-to-setup-cloudflare-images-plugin/#cloudflare-account-id-and-api-token

    Best regards,
    Anton

I had done that originally and the plugin failed to stay logged in. I reverted to the global api token in case that was the issue. I have since tried the original CF Images api token which failed again, so I scrapped it at CF, then created a new one again. The new images api token gives a status:active from cPanel terminal. I have added the definitions into the wp-config as per the plugin instructions. The plugin continues to act as unauthenticated, showing me the manual/auto setup page. If I add the api token and account id in that page, it appears to authenticate and flip to the settings page, but if I refresh, it goes back to the setup page again.

Ignore that. It just took forever to associate the changes with the plugin. It seems to be working now.

    Thanks for the help.

Spoke to soon. So I can now offload images to CF. When I open an image from the mdia library and try to compress, it throws an error (attached). I have created an account and logged into getfuzion.io from the plugin. The error happens whether the image if offloaded or not.

Woking on the same image as above. When I select Compress, it comes back with:

Offload statusInvalid or missing API key

I am in the midst of a bulk upload so that might be playing into the error. Im at 1000 of 1300, so I’ll try again when the bulk upload is completed and report back here.

Bulk Upload completed. I tested the comperession again on the same image and it worked this time.

I assume it failed becasue it was trying to use the same fork that was already connected and busy. No biggie. I dont imagaine many people will be bulk uploading and compressing similtaneously, but then again, end users can do the damnedest things 🙂

Something I noticed that’s not your issue I wouldn’t imagine. I ran the below through the compression and it took it from a 1mb png to a 652kb webp (tested by downloading direct from the wordpress library). WordPress still reports the image as 1mb. Are the compressed images only handled by cloudflare, hence why wordpress is oblivious to the change in size?

@itsbrokendigital, the webp is probably coming somewhere from your setup. My plugin should not convert to other formats.
