• Hi,
I was using this plugin to import the posts from Blogger to WordPress. Everything worked like a charm, except that the authors are mapped wrong. I also did not get the window that asked me to set the author, after the import process.
How can I revert /change the post to the correct author without doing this manually. There are about >100 posts to handle. DB?

    Appreciate any help. Thanks

Download the development stream version that’s got a fix that allows you to map multiple authors

Oh, ok! Do you have a link for me so that I get the right download?
    Thanks again!

Let us know how you get on, we should probably release that version

    That worked! 😀

Just to explain a little, I deleted the old Plugin and replaced it with this. Cleared cached information and restarted the import again. This time, it seemed to have taken in a few other things that was missed in the first import.

The only open issue I have left now is it didn’t take all the images that’s on Blogger. So part of it is showing in the Media Library, and the rest (about 80%) is not showing any picture in the Media library, instead it’s just a link to the server. Was this plugin suppose to solve such issues as well?

It should take all the images too. Nothing much changed in this version regarding the image handling

What could I do with the image import problem? Any hints?

I found out what what holding me up, and why the importer was getting stuck at a certain image, and refused to continue working. It was an image that was either corrupt or too big. In any case, I stopped the importer from getting any images (I had more than 500) and followed this post instead: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/how-to-skip-importing-images-links?replies=6

This way, I was able to end the import and set my authors correctly.

To import my images, I used this Plugin “Media Tools” which imported my images without any hiccups. Images that were corrupt or too big were ignored, and the plugin threw an error in the logs, which was fine for me. This tool also transfered the images right into my Media Library, which saved me from any other work.

It would be great to see this Blogger import plugin to be able to do all this one day. For now, these steps helped me to continue my work I have been stuck on for the last 2 days!

By the way, for referenz, I am using WP 4.0.1
