Author page getting redirected

    Hello,

    I have a strange issue. When I click on the author link for any post it gets automatically redirected to the Home page. I have tried saving permalinks (in the hope that it will reset) in the wordpress options and this hasn’t soved the problem.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks esmi, i will try it out. By the way I did a redirect check with the url using an online tool and it said “Type of redirect: 301 Moved Permanently”, would this help in identifying the problem?

    Thank you, I was able to find out the plugin causing the issue.
