Easy-to-use plugin to add authors and co-authors

We tried PublishPress authors starting in May 2021 and it has worked great. The design of the author boxes is one of the most flexible and appealing of the author plugins available out there. We were able to easily create new authors and add multiple co-authors to the same page by using the plugin’s many CX widget options (placing a list of authors at the top of each post, and more extensive bios at the bottom). Some of the other plugins such as Simple Author sounded great but ended up having much less flexible CX widgets that required developer involvement to get to the CX we wanted. PlublishPress authors was a 1-hour setup. Pretty neat.
We did have an issue where the functionality stopped working with an update in August. We were no longer able to add PublishPress authors to new pages. The Publishpress team responded and fixed the issue. We are now upgrading to the paid version.
