Author profile list (code request)

Hey,
i would like to display short profiles of all authors of my multi-author blog on a static page. So i am searching for a piece of code that writes a few lines of HTML and catches some fields from the profiles for each author resp. user assigned to a specific role.

Anybody has got something like that?
