    Hello,
since installing Easyforms for Mailchimp, the message “authorization header is missing” is shown for recommended site improvements. I have deactivated and reactivated Easyforms to make sure that it’s really caused by this plugin (it is). I am running the latest version of Divi theme, and everything’s up-to-date. What do I need to do about the message?
Thank you so much for your help.

  • Hi @knuppi,

That is certainly strange, as that error message is related to your overall server setup, rather than a specific plugin. This is what I found to address the problem:

    1. Flush your permalinks
    2. Check your .htaccess file to make sure it includes the line RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}]

You may just want to reach out to your host about step 2, as many hosts don’t provide easy access to that file.

Let me know if that helps,
    Jon

    Hi Jon,
thank you very much for your reply.
I do have that exact line in my .htaccess file. And I flushed my permalinks, twice, but a few seconds after doing that, the message reappeared. Do you have any more ideas?
    Thanks for helping me!

    Hi Sonja,

Did you try submitting a ticket with your host?
This issue is beyond support for our plugin and they would be in the position to help you.

    Thank you!
