Authorization required….when using the – private site feature

Hi,

I tried to activate the private site feature, which does exactly what I want and need.
By doing so I got first time getting to a page – a login screen, which is greate, but – on the login screen, when I entered the details of a registered user, I got a white screen of Authorization required ….and got lock out of my site.

I need this feature as mydomain.com/shop ( woocommerce shop generated page) is not reacting to role rules and stays open to everyone no matter what.

I advised with my hosting , they know nothing about it because it’s a wordpress feature related problem but they told me to ask if there are any special needs / demands / settings…needed to activate this feature from the server side.

I’d really appreciate your advice on this.
