Authors condition bug
-
Hello. I found some kind of a bug. When I set the condition for the author, the sidebar shows on every page. br

What are the exact settings and conditions? Do you have an empty condition group?
Hm. I created new sidebar, and add the conditions for Pages:Blog and Authors: All authors. But the problem is, sidebar is showing on all pages. If I remove Authors condition…the sidebar is just on Blog page as supposed to be…
IF I add categories and tags conditions it’s ok…
Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the problem.
What your current condition says is:
Display sidebar on Blog page written by any author. If you want your sidebar to be displayed on the blog page and on author archives, create two condition groups:
Group 1: Blog page
Group 2: All authorsExposure: Archives
Hm…if I choose Exposure: Archives…than I see the sidebar only on archive view…but not on blog page…
The workaround is to create different sidebars for Blog page and for Blog Author archive view…but I want to use the same sidebar area…hm
If your Blog page is set as the “posts page” in your WordPress settings, you can use these settings for 1 sidebar instead:
Group 1: All authors
Group 2: All posts
Exposure: ArchivesThis will cause the sidebar to be displayed on all author archives or the posts archive (selected posts page).
hm…blog page is a regular page in this case…
Then unfortunately you have to create two different sidebars for now, due to the content being archives and a singular. It is on the roadmap to do something about “Exposure” as it can be confusing.
Ok. Tnx
