Hi,
can you send me a link to the Authors page on your site?
By default, WPAdverts AUthors does not have a login form (or password reset functionality) at all.
Authors extension uses the default WP login form, but it is also possible that you have some third party plugin installed which changes the default login form or URL, in other words some third party plugin is handling logging in and password reset pages.
I’m using TML plugin
https:/www.sellyourstufffree.com/dashboard/
Thanks
Ohh ok, in this case it would be best to ask TML support if (and how you) you can get a message on password reset page which would instruct the user to check his email.
The whole password reset functionality comes from TML plugin, i am not really familiar with it so i am afraid i cannot tell how to display the message there, sorry.
I’m using the login option in the authors setting. Are you saying that the TML pludin is putting the their login form, Lost your password and register links instead?
The Lost your password url looks like this: https://www.sellyourstufffree.com/lostpassword/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sellyourstufffree.com%2Fdashboard
Thanks
What i am saying is this:
1. the page https://www.sellyourstufffree.com/dashboard/ is part of Authors plugin.
2. the page https://www.sellyourstufffree.com/lostpassword/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sellyourstufffree.com%2Fdashboard is part of the TML plugin.
By default the “Lost your password?” link at https://www.sellyourstufffree.com/dashboard/ should redirect the user to https://www.sellyourstufffree.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword page, but the TML plugin overrides this URL/page with its own password reminder page.
In other words, while the login form you see on the dashboard page is a part of Authors plugin when you click the “Lost your password?” link you are redirected to a page created and handled by TML plugin.
OK
Just understand why TML plugin puts an redirect to url on this page, but not on the other regular login page.
anyway, just going to use the other option.
Thanks
Norman
Ok great, i am marking this thread as resolved then maybe someone will find it helpful in the future 🙂
