There are two scenarios in which the plugin causes an issue

A: Returning to posts created by myself causes the post to be only editable in code mode
    1. Create a post
    2. Add new author to post
    3. Publish post and leave window
    4. Return to edit the post

B: Editing posts made by a different user and trying to return to the post again, causes the post to be locked from editing due to “someone else is currently editing the post”
    1. A different user creates a post and adds an author
    2. You open the post to edit it and save changes
    3. Leave the post editing window
    4. Return to the post editing window
    5. Get message that you have to take over editing or leave
    6. Message says you cannot take over editing

I know that the issue is the Publishpress Authors Pro plugin because when I deactivate it, these issues go away completely, but also all our author data.

Would be happy to pay for support if necessary but was hoping there was a quick fix because the plugin is causing huge problems in that we often have to recreate posts from scratch and delete old versions.

@gianninaong Thanks for using Authors Pro.

The WordPress team ask us not to support commercial versions here on ww.wp.xz.cn.

Can I ask you to follow up from @rizaardiyanto’s advice by opening a ticket on PublishPress.com, please?

Nope, that’s part of the issue, is that it doesn’t give me the option to switch back to visual editor.

Hi @stevejburge, Happy to put in a ticket but on the PublishPress.com site it says to post here if you are a non member. Not sure where exactly I would direct my question.

@gianninaong You’re using Authors Pro, so you should have access to open a support ticket.

For pro or commercial product support please contact the developer directly on their site. This includes any pre-sales topics as well.

As the developer is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
