Auto delete older backups

    Hey everyone, tbh I’m trying to save some disk space on my server. Does this plugin automatically delete older backup files when a new one is created, or do I need to clear them out manually?

    Hi there! Great question.

    No, the free All-in-One WP Migration plugin does not automatically delete older backups when a new one is created. Each export adds a new archive to your wp-content/ai1wm-backups/ folder, so older files will keep accumulating until you remove them.

    To free up space, you can clear them out manually in either of these ways:

    – From the WordPress dashboard: go to All-in-One WP Migration → Backups, click the three-dot menu next to any backup, and choose Delete.
    – Via FTP/file manager: delete the .wpress files directly from wp-content/ai1wm-backups/.

    A good habit is to download a copy of each backup to your local machine (or cloud storage) and then remove it from the server, so you keep the restore points without using up disk space.
