Hi and thanks for the message.
GTranslate does not detect the language by GEO location, as from the same geographical location, people speaking different languages can visit your website.
However, we can manage that based on browser language, which is more accurate.
The “Auto switch to browser language” currently works with WordPress.
If you want to turn this on you should just check near “Auto switch to browser language” in your GTranslate settings.
As for excluding some pages or items from translation, make sure to check this article: https://docs.gtranslate.io/en/articles/1349930-how-to-skip-translations
Let me know if you have any questions.
HEllo
actually this feature, does not work….
been waiting for a fix on this issue for 3 weeks…
Thanks for the reply!
Autoswitch to broswer language sounds like a smart move in terms of translating to the language.
I think what I’m looking for is another plugin, that directs people to a alternative site (based on their country) – with different content.
Thanks

Hi,
We have a Language Hosting feature available in our paid plans which can help you to create translated versions of your main website and host them on country specific top level domains like example.es for Spain, examlpe.de for Germany, examlpe.it for Italy, etc…
Auto redirecting is not a good idea in terms of SEO. I recommend staying away from it, let the user decide.
Thanks! 🙂
The “Auto switch to browser language” doesn’t work. Doesn’t translate anything.
