Auto Downgrade feature

    Following the documentation related to the auto downgrade feature https://simple-membership-plugin.com/auto-downgrade-an-expired-members-account/, I could not make it work. It says “Account expired”.

    I flagged Enable Expired Account Login in the Advanced Setting and it worked, but it was not mentioned in the documentation.

    Is it correct?

    If so, I suggest to update the documentation page.

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    I flagged Enable Expired Account Login in the Advanced Setting and it worked, but it was not mentioned in the documentation.

    If by flagged you mean you enabled this feature then that is the correct step to allow members whose account has expired to log in. In regards to the mentioning part in the documentation of your comment. Did you adjust the setting to point to a free access account level?

    Yes I did, but it was not enough since I could not login with the error “Account expired”.

    I had to enabled the Enable Expired Account Login feature. Is that necessary to activate the autodowngrade feature as well?
