• I’ve successfully installed the widget to my website/blog on the sidebar, which is great.

When checking my download stats on my podcast server (Libsyn) after adding the widget, I noticed a massive spike in downloads. Almost all those downloads were of the first podcast on my playlist. I have auto-play turned off, so I’m wondering if upon every load of our website, does the podcast automatically load in the background even though it’s not been played?

This is an issue because if so, I won’t be able to accurately track who’s actually hitting play and who’s just visiting our website.

Is there any way we can address this issue I’m having?

    Thanks!
    Robert

Sorry, here’s the website I’ve installed the plugin widget: http://ThePhotoBrigade.com

    Thanks!

    That’s right, it’s pre-loading the first track.

Hi Meave, thanks for your response. My question is if there’s any way to change it so that it does NOT pre load, otherwise I’m going to have to dump the plugin because I can no longer accurately track my downloads. I have thousands of hits a day on the blog….but only maybe a few hundred max downloads of the podcast/day. Now it shows as thousands/day. Can you help me with this situation?

I’m not trying to be difficult, just would really love to keep this cool plugin…but it’s really messing up my tracking abilities….

    Many thanks,
    Robert
