Auto Draft post when visiting Dashboard only

We have a large multisite install with 2000+ sites. Activity Log is network activated. Whenever I visit any site as an admin or non-admin user Activity Log shows a new Auto Draft post created by me.

If I get a list of posts at the same time, this post is not listed.

Any idea what is happening?

Here are a few possibilities that I’ve thought of:

1. It’s a “feature”. WordPress core reserves a new post for me *in case* I’m going to need it. But then discards it if not used.

2. Activity Log incorrectly lists it.

3. There is some unknown interaction with one of other 92 plugins that causes Activity Log to list it. (I suspect this is the case.)
