It doesn’t even seem to make an attempt and fail. The Last Auto Import field just has dashes in it. This feature was working on this site this summer, but now I’ve gotten back to this project it just doesn’t seem to update. I’ve got the latest versions of WordPress & Tablepress. I’ve disabled all other plugins. The site is hosted by GoDaddy. I’m not even sure how to troubleshoot this, any help would be appreciated.

One page that is affected is http://sitinvest2.com/?page_id=287361. The table under Fund Details should be updated from http://www.sitinvest2.com/tables/22details.csv.

I’m able to use Tablepress & the Auto Import add-on in another site, and when I do everything the same on this one, it doesn’t work.

Any help and a push in the right direction would be appreciated!

    Scott

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Are you using caching on this site? It is vital for the Extension that the cron requests are triggered, which only happens if there are users visiting the site regularly. With caching, this would be prevented.

Please also try deactivating and re-activating the Extension, as well as saving the settings again. It might be possible that the cron settings got lost maybe.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Not caching, unless by accident, but I haven’t made any effort to do that.

I deactivated Tablepress and deleted it and re-installed it. No luck.

    Hi,

I actually didn’t mean TablePress, but the Auto Import Extension. Can you please deactivate/reactivate that and save the changes again?

    Regards,
    Tobias

I had deleted the Auto Import as well. Just tried again and still nothing. Half an hour after setting it for fifteen minutes, refreshed the page and it still just shows the dash.

    Hi Scott,

ok. And you are sure that the site had external visitors (that then caused the Cron mechanism to run)?

If you want, I can offer to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. I can’t promise a solution though.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

just a short update for everybody following this thread:
I’m working on this directly with Scott, and with a new devepment version of the Extension, everything seems to be working right now, but we’ll keep testing.

    Regards,
    Tobias
