    Hi,

I’ve set WPforms to send plain text emails. However, emails and links still show as hyperlinks. Looking at the code I think its related to wpforms_html_field_value_auto_link function in includes/class-html.php.

Is there a code snippet (functions.php) to remove this and get 100% plain text emails?

    Thanks!

    Hi @actron ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

This doesn’t look like an issue with WPForms. I’ve checked this on a few different webmail services and email apps, and it appears that they automatically convert plain text links into clickable hyperlinks.

This behavior depends on the email app rather than WPForms itself. I tried sending a test email to an online service like Mailsac, and the hyperlinks were not added there. Here’s a screenshot showing what I saw: https://a.supportally.com/i/lNfmWK. This should help ensure that WPForms is sending plain-text emails correctly.

Since the hyperlink is being added by the webmail or app, there isn’t a way for us to modify or disable that from our end.

    Hope this helps clarify things!
