Auto load posts don’t count

Hi there,

I just want to know why your plugin doesn’t work on themes with an auto load posts function? When I scroll down to the next posts -and the url switch up of course- it doesn’t count a new visit for the new post.

For two reasons:

1. Auto-loading the next post isn’t a native function from WordPress. This feature is included via third-party plugins and/or heavy theme customization.
2. The plugin has no way to know that you’re using a plugin/script to autoload the next post on scroll, so it doesn’t know that a post has been loaded this way.

Is there a code I may to put on functions.php or somewhere?

There might be a way but again it depends on how the post autoloading has been implemented.

Please get in touch with the theme developer and ask them how to you can send a POST request to update the views count of an autoloaded post.

That’s why I suggested to get in touch with the developer of your theme. They should be able to help you implement this integration.

Alternatively, I’m available for freelance work if you’re up for it.
