Auto Locator Doesn't Always Work?

I have a similar support inquiry on the developers site but thought it may be faster to solve the issue here. Is there any trick to getting the auto-locator function to work consistently?
When I first installed the plugin – the browser prompted me to allow access to my location data and I, of course, said yes. I then went on to program the functionality I was looking for (show the closest dealer).
However, now when I go into testing with different browsers and platforms, the auto-locator either doesn’t trigger the browser to allow location sharing or show my location.
Help! I have a launch date set for the end of the month and need to get to the bottom of this one. Love the plugin – just need some assistance.
