auto renewals

We offer memberships on a calendar basis. We do not have products set to auto renew. We cull the memberships manually every year if people do not renew. As a new administrator, when I set up the 2025 product, I just edited the 2024 product with new name and and price. ,so theoretically the 2024 membership product does not exist. The system, for the first time according to the client, started throwing renewal email notices with request for payments for the 2024 memeberships, even if they already paid for 2025 under the new label.
