Auto Search after Passing Zip Code URL Parameter

Hi, I saw this come up in an earlier thread however I did not see if there was any solution for allowing search to automatically happen after passing a zip code search through URL parameter rather than in simply auto-filling and the user having to manually hit the search button. Please let me know if this is possible, any help is very much appreciated.
