Thanks for writing in. Like our hosted forms, the MailChimp plugin only provides the option to subscribe email addresses using the double opt-in process. This means that the confirmation email does have to be sent when using this plugin.
In order to use single opt-in (no confirmation email, and they’re directly added to the list upon subscribe), you’ll want to take a look at the following form options, which are outside of this plugin:
-WuFoo link
-Coffee Cup Form Builder link
-Using the MailChimp API link

No worries at all. I have already used the MailChimp API so thats not a problem, was just hoping the plugin would be an easier solution for clients
